"ROSIE"

20 year old (2003 born) AQHA Quarter Horse

Mare-maiden, never bred and not for breeding.

16+ hh

Chestnut

Broke to ride.

Stands for farrier

Hoof trim:  August 28, 2023

De-Wormed: September 8, 2023

UPDATE: JUNE 21, 2023   This lady has been trimmed by our farrier but over time here we have noticed, she is slower and believe she was got rid of because she is not for riding.... therefore we are looking for her to go to a nice pasture pet home to retire.  We can personally walk out to halter her, pick up her hooves and pick them ourselves, she is a gentle sweet and an over-all Great horse.

Loads in trailer, for many years she had traveled all over the states for shows.

Saddles, snaffle bit preferred but has been ok with a hackamore, soft mouth

Winner in futurities when younger.

Lunges with voice commands.

Western Pleasure, very athletic, some reining.

Used to being tied, trimmed, bathed when younger.

"She is out of a Reserve World Champion stallion and by an N.W. Congress Snaffle Bit Champion dam.  Her pedigree includes many world-champion  quarter horses, an AQHA Champion brother, and innumerable world-class,  top-of-the-line foundation quarter horses"

This girl is very active with alot of go, even at 19.  She needs an experienced rider to refresh her and when to 'go'.... as she likes to stop occasionally.

This lady is looking for a home that will work with and ride her.

Not a pasture pet. Best with geldings, not other mares.  She can be a bit bossy.
